Review highlights

Based on 205 reviews

La Paloma is widely recognized for its authentic Mexican flavors, especially its diverse selection of tacos, which consistently draw praise for their deliciousness and variety. Customers appreciate the value for money and the casual, approachable setting, often described as a cultural staple in Salinas. The food is noted for being flavorful and satisfying, with particular mentions of items like asada, shrimp, and lengua. While some guests have experienced mild digestive sensitivity likely related to the spiciness, the overall feedback emphasizes the eatery’s status as a must-visit local favorite. La Paloma’s food truck setup adds to its charm, reinforcing its reputation as a go-to spot for genuine, high-quality Mexican street food in the area.

Got shrimp, asada and carnita tacos. Asada is my favourite while my hub like the shrimp ones. Value for money and great pit stop for refuel while in Salinas. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Taco pastor, breakfast burrito, and fries with salsa verde was good at 12 midnight. Later that morning, my stomach was aching a bit lol. I felt better afterwards. Probably because it has been a while since I ate spicy food.

I gotta tell u... If u have visited Salinas for days or weeks or even decades and have not visited La Paloma (It's a converted taco mobil home.... I know) you haven't got an idea of what Salinas as a Cultural center of this great central California truly is!! It's a mandatory food stop coming or going to Salinas. Anything... N a do mean anything and everything in themenu is better than very good... N coming from me that's a lot of compliments... And no they're not paying me notn!!... This review will be updated... My husband and I love their tacos sooo much, and they’re so delicious that every time we each eat 8 or more to feel like we’ve had enough! My favorite is lingua and my husband’s favorite is chorizo. Yumm!!

Flautas con todo (with everything!) Out of this world salsa verde and a large horchata to satisfy your craving under 20 usually comes with cucumber as well but they’ve had extra avocado instead with a grilled Chile serano and pickled onions …

Delicious place to have a nice meal, everything has a very good authentic taste to it The tacos are awesome and they add a grilled onion that is to die for.Places kind of lonely on the street but as more people find out about this place they will soon be full and for you drivers you could always call and order your meal so you can just get going.

I was walking up abbott st tonight, and saw this place. I ordered a shrimp burrito with everything on it and i was blowm away! Most places over stuff their burritos with rice. I thought i mistakenly forgot to ask for less rice.Turns out i didnt need to! The burrito had shrimp loaded with flavor down to the last bite! I ate it during my walk home and cant even remember the walk home. I was in burrito mode!!! Lol i highly recommend this place. HIGHLY recommend!!!
